Clone West Coast Series

Clone West Coast Series is a Rotterdam-based sublabel of Clone Records, established in 2009. It showcases forward-thinking electro, techno, disco, and acid house, spotlighting both new productions and expertly reissued treasures. The series embraces a futuristic aesthetic—deep grooves, cosmic soundscapes, intense drum-machine rhythms, and melodic bleeps—while paying homage to its synth-driven roots.

Early releases featured vinyl-only 12″s by artists like Tyrell Corporation, Mr Pauli, The Hasbeens, Sumerian Fleet, Legowelt, and Versalife. In the 2010s and 2020s, standout contributors include Versalife (Night Time Activities EPs), Legowelt (Omnibus Babylon), The Exaltics (Some Other Place series, II Worlds), PRZ (Wishmaker EP), CRISPR (Dyad Symmetry), GEN‑Y (Saturn Flow), D.I.E. (Detroit Party Train), and DJ Sotofett among others.

The imprint balances nostalgia with innovation by reviving rare or lost electro and Italo‑disco gems, remastering classic tracks, and presenting forward-leaning new music. Its catalogue moves seamlessly between remixes, reissues, and exploratory originals, aiming to satisfy DJs, collectors, and underground dance enthusiasts who seek both the familiar and the unexpected.

Today, Clone West Coast Series remains a cornerstone of Clone’s diverse label network—a platform that channels the spirit of the Dutch and Detroit electro lineage into fresh, club-ready releases.
