The Exaltics

The Exaltics is the alias of German electronic music producer Robert Witschakowski, based in Jena, central Germany. Since the late 1990s, Witschakowski has been a pivotal figure in the electro and techno underground, known for his deep, cinematic, and charismatic electro, often infused with dark, driven acid techno elements.

In 2006, he founded The Exaltics project and co-established the electro/techno label SolarOneMusic with his longtime friend Nico Jagiella. Through this platform, he has released numerous 12” records and several LPs on labels such as Clone, Crème Organization, Bunker, and his own SolarOneMusic. His music is characterized by a fusion of science fiction themes, acid influences, and a commitment to the underground ethos.

Witschakowski’s collaborations include projects with Gerald Donald of Drexciya, Helena Hauff, and E.R.P. (Gerard Hanson), among others. Notable works include the Dimensional Shifting album with Heinrich Mueller and the Das Heise Experiment series. His live performances are known for their intensity, featuring his unique blend of electro and acid music, often performed behind a mask to maintain an enigmatic stage presence.
