Inkswel

Inkswel, also known as Jules Habib, is an Australian producer and DJ whose sound fuses soulful house, boogie, broken beat, hip hop, and modern jazz-inflected grooves. Based in Adelaide but shaped by years spent performing and recording internationally, his music reflects a deep understanding of global club culture and underground soul. Inkswel’s productions are marked by warmth, organic textures, and a genre-bending approach, weaving together rich synth pads, slinky basslines, live instrumentation, intricate percussion, and soulful vocals. His collaborations with artists such as Robert Owens, Steve Spacek, Osunlade, Kylie Auldist, and N’fa Jones highlight his ability to bring together diverse voices while maintaining a cohesive and distinctive sound. Releases like “New Day,” a boogie-driven anthem with disco influences, and the expansive project Chasing Infinity showcase his talent for balancing dancefloor energy with musical depth. Over more than two decades, Inkswel has honed his craft behind the decks and in the studio, drawing on influences from P-Funk, 80s pop, 90s hip hop, and contemporary soul. His work is rooted in a spirit of collaboration and exploration, consistently creating music that feels alive, emotionally resonant, and connected to the wider community of forward-thinking electronic and soul artists.
