The Trilogy Tapes

The Trilogy Tapes began in 2008 as a personal blog by South London graphic designer Will Bankhead—who’d worked on visual direction for Mo’Wax and Palace Skateboards. Over time, it evolved into an adventurous record label that defies easy categorization. With vinyl-centric releases, limited-edition cassettes, graphic-heavy apparel, and occasional club events, the project has carved a niche at the intersection of experimental electronic sounds, abstract house, dubbed-out techno, and noise-inspired drift.

Vinyl artists include notable names like Bee Mask, Omar Souleyman, Dean Blunt, Theo Parrish, Beatrice Dillon, Kassem Mosse, Madteo, Blawan, Ben UFO, and more. The music often blurs boundaries—dusty sample-driven grooves, hypnotic techno, fractured rhythms, and off-kilter atmospheres.

Alongside music, The Trilogy Tapes has grown into a graphic-driven label-turned-lifestyle brand. Its meticulously designed T-shirts, caps, jackets, and accessories echo the label’s sonic unpredictability with abstract prints, collage motifs, and skate-inspired aesthetics.

Headquartered in Bankhead’s London basement/studio, the imprint operates as an intimate community hub—a melting pot of music, visuals, and subcultural reference. Embracing underground DIY ethos, it remains free from mainstream constraints, emphasizing limited releases, editorial graphics, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

The Trilogy Tapes is best understood not just as a label, but as a fluid cultural platform—one that challenges conventional genre boundaries, celebrates surface and sound in equal measure, and retains a consistent but evolving sense of curiosity.
