Mano De Fuego

Mano De Fuego is the alias of Mexican duo Emanuel and Gerardo Cedillo, also known for their work as Soul of Hex. Emerging from Tijuana, they fuse Latin heritage with Detroit techno traditions, creating a sound that blends ancestral rhythms with futuristic electronic textures.

Their debut release under this moniker, UR Presenta Mano De Fuego, was issued in 2022 by Underground Resistance. This EP features tracks like “Sol,” “Sol (La Luz),” “Descenso,” and “Mito,” showcasing a blend of spiritual techno and deep, rhythmic explorations.

In 2023, they released the Fuerza EP on Yaxteq, further cementing their reputation. This EP includes “Sagrada,” “Aztec Obelisk,” and “Fuerza,” the latter featuring an interstellar saxophone improvisation by Tijuana’s Manuel Páez Armendáriz. A remix by DJ Dex adds a jackin’ US house flavor to the release.

Mano De Fuego’s music is characterized by its fusion of Latin influences with Detroit techno, creating a unique and immersive listening experience that bridges cultural and sonic landscapes.
