King Geedorah

King Geedorah is one of MF DOOM’s many alter egos, inspired by the three-headed alien dragon from the Godzilla films. Through this persona, DOOM steps back from the mic to act more as a producer and narrator, crafting an otherworldly concept album that observes humanity from a detached, extraterrestrial point of view. The 2003 release Take Me To Your Leader showcases this vision, with DOOM producing all the tracks but rarely rapping himself. Instead, he brings in guest MCs to voice the narrative, while layering the record with sci-fi samples, cinematic textures, and abstract beats. This project reflects DOOM’s love of mythology, comic book-style world-building, and genre experimentation—delivering a unique, alien perspective on hip-hop and society.
