Lathe-Cut Records
Real-time cuts on plastic discs for demos, limited editions, or special projects. Ideal for artists who want a small run with unique, physical impact. We offer both standard and premium lathe-cut options:
- Standard lathe cuts are high-quality plastic discs that offer excellent sound and a great value for artists seeking small runs.
- Premium lathe cuts use pressed blanks and are cut with a diamond stylus for the highest level of visual and sonic quality. These are ideal for projects where presentation and fidelity are top priorities.
Lacquer Master Disc Cutting
Our lacquer masters are cut to the highest standard on a precision Neumann lathe using the latest cutting head technology. Choosing an independent cut gives you greater control over the quality of your pressing, avoiding the compromises sometimes found in default ‘factory cut’ packages. Because the lacquer is the first and most influential step in the pressing chain, it’s critical to get it right.
We also provide a high-resolution digital reference of your cut, recorded in real time during production. This reference can be used to verify quality throughout the pressing process, especially when working with third-party plants. It’s a powerful tool for maintaining fidelity and resolving any issues that may arise further down the line.
Vinyl Pressing Packages
We offer full-service vinyl production, handling everything from lacquer cuts and stamper creation to pressing, packaging, and delivery. Our curated packages are designed to simplify the process, especially for bands and independent artists exploring vinyl for the first time. At the heart of what we do is our beautifully restored Neumann AM32 lathe—a vintage powerhouse from the 1950s, originally used in New Zealand’s legendary HMV Record Plant.Upgraded with modern touches but still pulsing with history, our lathe helps us cut master discs with unmatched precision and depth. It’s one of the few remaining of its kind, and it brings real soul to every spin.
