Pearl & The Oysters

Pearl & The Oysters is the creative duo of Juliette Pearl Davis (vocals/composition) and Joachim Polack (instrumentation/production), combining French poetic sensibility with California sunshine-pop warmth. Their work, emerging in the late 2010s, unfolds across genre-defying blends of indie pop, jazz-pop, synth-pop, and cinematic electronica.

Their debut album Coast 2 Coast (2023) explored themes of movement and identity through lush collaborations with artists like Laetitia Sadier and Alex Brettin. Their follow-up Planet Pearl (2024) expanded their narrative scope, imagining themselves as gentle extraterrestrial observers stranded on Earth—melding elements of AOR disco, Brazilian rhythms, and wistful melody into a rich, atmospheric sound.

The duo delivers richly textured, nostalgic yet fresh productions carried by warm synths, vintage drum kits, and soulful vocals. Their occasional French lyrics and jazz-inflected harmonies reflect deep musical training and cross-cultural roots (France and US). Whether performing intimate ballads or cosmic pop anthems, Pearl & The Oysters craft immersive, cinematic music that feels handcrafted, melodic, and emotionally vivid—set apart by impeccable attention to detail and storytelling ambition.
