Laptop Café is a posthumously released mini-album by Jack Peoples, attributed to James Stinson, co-founder of Drexciya. Issued in 2017 through Clone’s Aqualung Series, the six-track release was recovered from a long-lost DAT tape believed to have been recorded in the early 2000s during the same period as The Other People Place sessions. The music features warm analog textures, subdued rhythms, and introspective atmospheres, highlighting a more personal and reflective side of Stinson’s work. Built around smooth basslines and minimal melodic phrases, Laptop Café stands as a poignant and intimate entry in his legacy, distinct from the raw energy of Drexciya’s earlier output.
