Hypothetical Situations is a reissue of Drexciya’s fourth storm, originally released in 2003 on Kombination Research under the name Abstract Thought. Widely recognized as part of the “Seven Storms” connected to the Drexciyan mythos, the release is acknowledged by Clone Records and Drexciya Research Lab as Storm #4. While the exact authorship remains officially unconfirmed, the project is closely associated with the late James Stinson and features themes consistent with Drexciya’s legacy—exploring cloning, alien intelligence, and alternate timelines through deep, futuristic electro. Remastered in 2023 from the original session tapes by Alden Tyrell and reissued by Clone Aqualung Series as a 2×12″ LP and digital download, the edition includes hypothetical scenarios printed alongside each track title, reinforcing its conceptual depth.
