Yes Lawd! is the debut album from NxWorries, the duo of Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge. Released on Stones Throw Records, the album plays like a mixtape — 19 tracks that blur the line between songs, interludes, and sketches, all tied together by a shared love for raw funk, gospel-tinged soul, and off-grid hip hop.

Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge’s debut album. Cover by Charles Munka & Knx, inside photos by Eric Coleman, design by Jeff Jank.

This is a record born from parallel paths and mutual understanding. Both artists came up through struggle — .Paak balancing family, homelessness, and odd jobs while shaping his voice, and Knxwledge crafting beats out of broken church instruments and deep vinyl dives. Their meeting was natural. Suede, their first single, caught the ear of Dr. Dre and helped launch .Paak’s rise to national attention.

Yes Lawd! captures that chemistry in full. .Paak plays a brash, charismatic version of himself, blending live-in-the-room vocal swagger with reflections from a life hard-earned. Knxwledge provides the textured foundation — chopped samples, dusty loops, and occasional live fragments — that give the album its grain and glue.

The result is an album that grooves, flexes, and confesses — theatrical but grounded, laid-back but layered. It’s not just a debut. It’s a portrait of two artists in sync, doing what they were born to do.
