Wandt Uncorked
Wandt Uncorked is a 12″ EP by German multi-instrumentalist and producer Niklas Wandt, released in May 2024 on Berlin-based label Púca Sounds. The EP features three tracks: “Wandt Uncorked,” “Gottesfuß,” and “The Prowler.” The title track is a prog-heavy composition with warped synths and percussive elements, designed for the dance floor. “Gottesfuß” offers dreamy synths reminiscent of early 2000s Underworld, creating a mid-tempo groove suitable for after-hours sessions. The B-side, “The Prowler,” delves into subaquatic realms with slick breaks and underwater drones, highlighting Wandt’s prowess as a percussionist. The EP was mixed by Heinrich Matis and Ed Longo, and mastered by Man Made Mastering. The artwork was created by Robert Mirolo.
