Mac God Chronicles
Mac God Chronicles is a collaborative project between beatmaker Professor Creepshow and MC Isaiah Deshon, released through SIC Records in late 2021. Across twelve tracks entirely produced by Professor Creepshow, Isaiah Deshon delivers introspective verses rooted in the Mac God mythology—a self-made hustler’s narrative grounded in existential reflection and lyrical grit. The tracks are compact, often under two minutes, blending sparse, G-funk-tinged hip hop with melodic loops and atmospheric texture. Highlights include “Everythang Green,” “Holy Time” (featuring Domsta), “Represent” (featuring MF Khaos), and the closing “It Ain’t On Me.”
The project leans into West Coast rap tropes—hood hymns, street-time allegories, and lowrider groove—while maintaining a lo-fi, underground aesthetic. Instrumentals and interludes interweave with full vocal tracks to create a cinematic yet raw soundscape. The cassette and CD release (#16 on SIC Records) later expanded into vinyl. This album is a focused statement on independent beat culture and earnest storytelling, capturing a specific era of DIY hip-hop rooted in Southern California’s undercurrents.
