Giant Steps
Giant Steps is one of the most pivotal and celebrated albums in jazz history, marking a bold leap forward in John Coltrane’s development as a composer, improviser, and bandleader. Recorded in 1959 and released in 1960 on Atlantic Records, the album captures Coltrane at a moment of rapid creative expansion following his tenure with Miles Davis and preceding his spiritual work on A Love Supreme.
