Astro Soul EP captures Inkswel at his most soulful and dance-floor ready. The Adelaide-based producer draws on his deep roots in hip hop, boogie, and house to craft a hybrid sound that is at once warm, raw and forward-looking. Across four cuts and multiple mixes, Inkswel teams up with internationally respected collaborators: UK soul singer Colonel Red lends velvet vocals to the title track “Astro Soul (Best In Me),” while US artists Mr. Flip and Cali4nia Jones bring their energy to “Early In The Am.” Caserta’s “1200 or Nothin’” remixes flip the original into a deeper, club-ready groove, and instrumentals/B-beats round out the package for DJs. The result is a vibrant blend of broken-beat, boogie and soulful house with strong vocal hooks and rich instrumentation, highlighting Inkswel’s global network while showcasing his Adelaide base.
