“Sounding Lines” is the fourth studio album by the Moritz von Oswald Trio, released on June 9, 2015, via Honest Jon’s Records. This album marks the debut of legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen in the trio, replacing Vladislav Delay. Alongside Max Loderbauer on synthesizers and Moritz von Oswald handling percussion sequencing and additional electronics, the trio explores a fusion of dub techno, jazz, and ambient textures. The compositions are characterized by their improvisational nature, subtle rhythmic shifts, and a focus on sonic depth and atmosphere. The album was mixed by Ricardo Villalobos and features artwork by Marc Brandenburg.
